Overview

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and coordinating urgent, routine, and follow-up specialist appointments for IDT-approved authorizations, ensuring timely access to specialty care.

In Short

  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for specialty services.
  • Collaborate with IDT team for participant specialty needs.
  • Liaise between participants, PCPs, and specialty providers.
  • Advocate for participants’ specialty care access.
  • Maintain scheduling and turnaround time objectives.
  • Work in a clinical environment with electronic health systems.
  • Bilingual skills preferred (English, Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese).
  • Minimum two years of medical/clinical experience required.
  • High School Diploma required; Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.
  • Part of a team dedicated to community health services.

  • Experience with referrals and authorizations.
  • Proficient with electronic health systems.
