Overview

The Actuarial Consultant at Allstate is responsible for supporting the company's strategic objectives by designing and improving the actuarial function and leading complex projects.

In Short

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in cross-functional projects.
  • Develop and integrate SAS and Visual Basic programs for actuarial projects.
  • Lead the development of new rating plans and methodologies.
  • Coach and delegate work to junior actuarial staff.
  • Communicate complex analyses and provide recommendations.
  • Support Pricing Managers with rate changes and product introductions.
  • Ensure adherence to actuarial standards of practice.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to meet performance requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the actuarial function.
  • Engage in community service and employee volunteerism.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in actuarial roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of product, price, risk management, and insurance regulations.
  • Solid understanding of predictive analytics principles.
  • Strong project management skills for handling complex projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
