AEI Consultants is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Engineer for their Seismic Risk Services Division, focusing on assessing seismic risks of commercial properties.

In Short

• Full-time position in Greater Los Angeles, CA area.
• Conduct Seismic Risk Assessments of various commercial properties.
• Knowledge of building codes and ASCE 41-13 Standards required.
• Experience in technical writing and report generation.
• Manage multiple projects and deliver outstanding client service.
• 10 years of structural design experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Certification as a Professional Civil or Structural Engineer in California.
• Physical fitness to navigate building sites and perform assessments.

Requirements

• 10 years of structural design experience.
• 5 years of experience in seismic retrofit design.
• 3 years of experience performing Seismic Risk Assessments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Willingness to travel if necessary.
• Ability to work independently under strict deadlines.
• Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or HUD guidelines is a plus.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and navigate building interiors.
