VP, Controller - Remote

In Short

• Oversees corporate operations of the Finance Department.
• Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with US GAAP.
• Prepares financial reports and ad hoc management reports.
• Assists with financial analysis, mergers & acquisitions, and contract negotiations.
• Oversees federal and state income tax estimates and returns preparation.
• Works with auditors for annual financial statement audits.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Plans and directs the accounting operations of the company.
• Manages the annual companywide insurance and fidelity bond renewal process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance/accounting or equivalent experience.
• Five + years of management experience.
• CPA accreditation preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
• Literacy in English.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job.
