Overview

Alaska Northstar Resources is seeking a qualified candidate for a Senior Systems Engineer (Cloud SME) role to support our Medical Systems Product Line Contract. This mostly remote position involves designing and constructing cloud service environments.

In Short

Development and implementation of cloud applications.
Migration of on-premises applications to the cloud.
Gathering system requirements with application architects.
Generating scripts for automatic provisioning of resources.
Installation and execution of standard cloud services.
Debugging technical issues in cloud stacks.
Collaboration with engineering teams for cloud infrastructure.
Crafting solutions for scalable cloud applications.
Experience with cloud migration and DevOps.
Working in a team-driven environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 10+ years of experience.
Must be a US Citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance.
Active CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification.
5+ years of experience in cloud operations and systems administration.
Knowledge of Java and containerization technologies like Docker.
Understanding of software development and Agile methodologies.
Experience with AWS Support and Automation.
