Senior Cloud Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

EasyPost is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Engineer to work with our teams who manage services in both conventional on-premise and Cloud environments, helping to build the shipping infrastructure of the future.

In Short

• Design, implement, and manage foundational infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
• Identify opportunities for shifting from proprietary to industry standard tools.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
• Conduct postmortems and implement improvements.
• Optimize service performance through capacity planning and resource utilization analysis.
• Ensure the integrity, availability, and security of infrastructure and services.
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure and service configurations.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to understand pain points.
• Apply DevOps/SRE principles to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of related experience, with 2+ years in Azure.
• Experience with migration from On-Prem to Cloud.
• Proficiency in coding and scripting languages, especially Python.
• Deep understanding of DevOps & SRE principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure & GCP.
• Proficiency in IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Puppet.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
