Lead Field Engineer – Power Systems - Remote

Overview

The Lead Field Service Engineer – Power Systems will perform a range of engineering tasks ensuring proper installation, service, and commissioning of products and services in the field, addressing complex electrification challenges.

In Short

• Perform installation and commissioning activities at customer sites.
• Lead small teams and work unsupervised.
• Conduct troubleshooting during scheduled Port visits or at sea.
• Provide technical support for GEPC Power systems and control systems.
• Develop presentations and train customers on system operations.
• Advise customers on upgrades and service opportunities.
• Provide on-call support for customer service requests.
• Work on-board vessels following safety guidelines.
• Travel domestically or overseas for extended periods.
• May require extended hours during peak periods.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of field service and/or commissioning experience.
• US Citizen with ability to achieve security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 85% of the time.
• Physical fitness to board vessels offshore.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with medium and low voltage circuit breakers.
• Familiarity with sensing instruments and transformers.
• Knowledge of motor control centers and soft starters.
• Ability to execute complex engineering tasks independently.
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
