Lead Field Engineer – Excitation Systems - Remote

Overview

The Lead Field Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of excitation and control systems in the Power Generation and Oil & Gas industries, working internationally.

In Short

• Lead and manage site execution of excitation or controls retrofit projects.
• Install and commission Excitation or Control Solutions hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot existing hardware and software installations on-site.
• Supervise mechanical and electrical sub-contractors.
• Perform project management and technical leader duties.
• Work primarily in Europe with possible global locations.
• Travel extensively and work significant overtime.
• Ensure timely completion of service reports and invoicing packages.
• Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
• Conduct internal and external training.

Requirements

• BA degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanic Engineering or Technical High School.
• Proven work experience in Oil & Gas and Power Plant industry.
• Solid experience with generator excitation systems and control philosophy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision required.
• Experience with EX2100e, LS2100e Panels for Excitation.
• Familiarity with PLC & HMI installation.
• Hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Computer skills with familiarity with MS Office.
