Overview

In Short

• Own the technical sales lifecycle, including discovery, solution design, and product demonstrations.
• Translate complex technical concepts into practical use cases for diverse audiences.
• Serve as the go-to expert on API security for customers and internal teams.
• Educate sales teams on API security trends and best practices.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers during their pre-sales journey.
• Gather customer requirements and align solutions with product and engineering teams.
• Present Akamai's API security vision at industry conferences and workshops.
• Partner with sales, product management, and engineering teams to improve customer experience.

Requirements

• 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• Excellent knowledge of APIs, API gateways, and web application firewalls.
• Proven experience in technical pre-sales or solution architecture in cybersecurity.
• Proficiency in internet technologies like TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Exceptional presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
