Head of Finance - Remote

Overview

As the first Head of Finance at AirGarage, you will build a high-leverage finance function, partnering closely with leadership across various departments to enhance planning, decision-making, and execution as the company scales.

In Short

• Own the financial model and continuously improve it.
• Track and enhance unit economics and margins.
• Develop reliable budget vs. actuals and KPI dashboards.
• Lead the transition from QuickBooks to a scalable ERP.
• Manage cap table and equity operations.
• Ensure investor and board readiness with consistent metrics.
• Negotiate vendor contracts to improve unit economics.
• Support compensation design and workforce planning.
• Oversee legal and general administrative stewardship.
• Maintain cash forecasts and banking relationships.

Requirements

• Experience as a finance leader in a high-growth startup.
• Ability to balance strategic vision with detailed execution.
• Strong skills in driver-based modeling and scenario analysis.
• Experience transitioning from QuickBooks to ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex data.
• Experience in vendor negotiations and commercial terms.
• Ability to partner with leadership on compensation and planning.
• Proactive and fast-paced work ethic.
• Preferred experience with multi-location businesses and audits.
