Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

Agile Defense is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help deliver secure and scalable solutions as part of Agile development teams supporting Criminal Justice Information Services Division (CJIS).

In Short

• Develop high-quality software aligned with enterprise standards.
• Participate in full lifecycle development within the SAFe Agile framework.
• Contribute to architecture design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Work with modern development languages and API design.
• Experience in API development and standardization is required.
• Must have expertise in API security principles.
• Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Must be able to attend in-person meetings in Clarksburg, WV as needed.
• Clearance: Secret.
• Travel costs for on-site visits will not be reimbursed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience designing and developing APIs.
• In-depth knowledge of API security principles.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or Golang.
• Experience with API management tools like AWS API Gateway.
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams.
