Overview

Agile Defense is seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic and collaborative team in the federal sector. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in modern and back-end development, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

In Short

• Develop and maintain APIs using Ruby on Rails best practices.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate server-side logic with user-facing components.
• Participate in the consumption and creation of RESTful APIs.
• Write clear, maintainable, and test-driven code.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs.
• Document technical processes and software procedures.
• Contribute to code reviews.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a security clearance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience in Ruby on Rails for developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Ability to implement robust test coverage using tools like Jest, RSpec, and Cypress.
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be a US Citizen.
