• Join the Bankruptcies & Hardships team responsible for Affirm’s core servicing platforms.
• Work on backend services and pipelines that orchestrate bankruptcy workflows.
• Focus on distributed systems, event-driven pipelines, and high-availability services.
• Collaborate closely with product, compliance, and other platform teams.
• Set technical strategy and support critical business-impacting projects.
• Ensure team operations and availability with proper monitoring and processes.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership through code review and design standards.
• Develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer is required.

Requirements

• Proficient in backend systems using Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in developing web apps with frameworks like React or Vue.
• Skilled in delivering features and understanding system architecture.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and manage feedback effectively.
