Field Service Technician - Southwest - Remote

Overview

As the Field Service Technician, you will perform and carry out all tasks related to installing, assembling, servicing, and repairing Aerzen products. They provide customers with prompt, professional and high-quality service. Work is performed at our location and/or at our customer’s location. Services provided may be scheduled or on-demand. Overnight travel on short notice is often required.

In Short

• Performs startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or preventive maintenance service on all Aerzen Products at customer sites.
• Installing, configuring, calibrating and maintaining control, measurement and indicating instrumentation.
• Analyzing and correcting communication issues related to TCP/IP networks.
• Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen Products.
• Read and use equipment diagrams, checklists, and engineering drawings.
• Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements and provide recommendations.
• Plan and schedule travel to meet customer requirements.
• Complete job-related service reports and other documentation.
• Conduct customer training on Aerzen Products when onsite.
• Participate in departmental initiatives and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

• An Associates Degree in electronics technology or equivalent experience.
• 1-4 years of Field Service Experience with rotary equipment.
• Must have electrical experience, preferably with VFDs and controls.
• Technology Aptitude in Windows, Microsoft Office, and TCP/IP networks.
• RS Logix 5000 and PLC programming experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret process flow and control wiring diagrams.
• Welding skills are a plus.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
