Senior Federal Project Manager (Flood Risk Mitigation) - Remote

Overview

AECOM is actively seeking a talented Senior Federal Project Manager for immediate employment in our Central Civil Works Department. In this role you will help manage our flood risk management design and construction projects for USACE, USIBWC, and NRCS.

In Short

• Manage all phases of projects from proposal to close-out.
• Prepare project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget.
• Adhere to AECOM and federal/client quality control and safety planning.
• Develop detailed subcontractor scopes and bid sheets.
• Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.
• Advise/mentor less experienced staff on project management skills.
• Oversee design staff for civil works and flood risk reduction projects.
• Identify new business opportunities and participate in project presentations.
• Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations.
• Monitor and report financial status of projects to upper management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• 20+ years of professional experience preferred.
• Experience as a Project Manager for USACE projects.
• Professional Engineer License in Texas preferred.
• Strong understanding of civil works and flood risk mitigation.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in project team management and scheduling.
• Experience preparing proposals and cost estimates.
