Overview

The Billing Follow Up Representative I is responsible for reviewing accounts and applying billing follow-up knowledge to ensure proper reimbursement from insurance payors. This position involves working independently in a remote setting after initial onboarding.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Typically requires 1 year of related experience.
  • Basic keyboarding proficiency.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as EOBs.
  • Must communicate effectively with others.
  • Familiarity with EPIC software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance practices preferred.
  • Ability to work within departmental guidelines for productivity.
  • Ability to operate necessary office equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
