The Physician Coding Review Specialist is responsible for reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of coding for medical records, providing education to clinicians, and maintaining coding quality standards.

Requirements

• Coding Associate (CCA), Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P), or equivalent certification required
• Advanced training in Medical Coding Specialist
• 5 years of expert-level professional coding experience
• 3 years of experience in clinician education
• Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to train and educate others
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic coding systems
• Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Independent judgment and decision-making skills
