Overview

Advanced Agrilytics is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will work closely with the team to develop, refine, and implement solutions that scale and perform at the highest level. Your role will be critical in mentoring team members, influencing architecture, and contributing to key projects across the organization.

In Short

• Partner with the technical lead to contribute to the design and architecture of key systems.
• Write, test, and review high-quality code, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Guide and mentor mid-level engineers, helping them to grow and develop their technical skills.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality features.
• Take ownership of complex issues within the codebase, offering solutions and improvements.
• Advocate for improvements in code quality, testing, and engineering processes.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Contribute innovative ideas that improve our product and engineering processes.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js and React, along with deep knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+).

Requirements

• Experience with spatial data and GIS technologies.
• Proficiency in other programming languages, such as Python, is preferred.
• Experience in designing scalable, distributed systems is essential.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS), microservices, and container orchestration technologies.
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-driven environment.
• Passionate about your craft, with the desire to share knowledge.
• Adept at troubleshooting and optimizing code for performance.
