Overview

Walden University is seeking a Public Health Core Faculty member to engage with students in an online learning environment, dedicated to high academic standards and social change.

In Short

• Teach and interact with students in online courses.
• Maintain timely communication and feedback with students.
• Verify accuracy of student submissions and provide grades.
• Be accessible to students outside of course discussions.
• Publish availability through course syllabi and documents.
• Attend residencies for teaching intensives and discussions.
• Participate in thesis/dissertation committees.
• Engage in faculty governance or academic policy committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Comply with all university policies and standards.

Requirements

• PhD in a related field.
• Three or more years of teaching experience.
• Record of professional contributions to the field.
• Commitment to student learning in a distance environment.
• Experience with distance learning preferred.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and reliable internet access.
