Overview

Walden University is seeking a Core Faculty member for the MSN PMHNP program to educate students through effective online communication and technology.

In Short

• Teach assigned courses in a distance learning environment.
• Interact with students via the university’s learning management system.
• Provide timely feedback and grades to students.
• Maintain regular availability for student support.
• Participate in academic governance and faculty committees.
• Attend required residencies and facilitate discussions.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and other technology tools.
• Advocate for student learning and development needs.
• Engage in mentoring and advising students.
• Comply with university policies and standards.

Requirements

• PhD in the field of study or closely related field.
• Three or more years of teaching experience at the degree level.
• Commitment to distance learning and student advocacy.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with online teaching preferred.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and reliable internet access.
• Willingness to participate in faculty governance.
• Experience in mentoring and advising students.
• Ability to chair thesis/dissertation committees.
