Director, Forensic Services - Remote

Overview

The Director of Forensic Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the AccuWeather Forensic Department, including vision, revenue growth, personnel management, and operations.

In Short

• Develop strategic vision for the Forensics team.
• Monitor and improve department operations.
• Forecast and monitor department sales.
• Ensure client satisfaction and develop processes for increased business.
• Coordinate with Marketing and PR teams.
• Catalog customers and opportunities within CRM.
• Integrate technology into forensic analysis.
• Provide expert testimony related to investigations.
• Manage Forensic department personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in meteorology.
• American Meteorological Society Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM) or PhD preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in expert testimony.
• 3+ years in forensic investigations related to severe weather.
• Experience with wildfires and aviation investigations preferred.
• 5+ years in forensic or operational meteorology.
• Strong organizational and entrepreneurial skills.
• Proficiency in weather data analysis tools.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and mentor staff.
