The Commis Chef is responsible for preparing food items and maintaining kitchen safety standards while assisting in the daily operations of the kitchen.

• Stock up the assigned kitchen with raw materials and ingredients daily
• Utilize electrical and mechanical equipment safely
• Master basic cooking methods and prepare daily mis-en-place
• Prepare food items according to standard recipes while minimizing waste
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment
• Report hazards and unsafe conditions to the supervisor
