Overview

As a Senior Postgres/MySQL Database Administrator, you will manage cloud data storage services, build infrastructure as code, and support engineering teams in deploying applications efficiently.

In Short

• Manage MySQL and Postgres database clusters.
• Troubleshoot database issues with development teams.
• Build AWS-based infrastructure for company applications.
• Develop infrastructure automation using TypeScript and Python.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide consultation.
• Participate in on-call rotations for AWS infrastructure issues.
• Work in a globally distributed team using agile principles.
• Ensure cloud application resiliency and performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years in Software Engineering and Cloud Platform roles.
• 4+ years of DBA experience in cloud environments.
• Experience with distributed and cloud-based architecture.
• Expertise in AWS Aurora MySQL and Postgres administration.
• Ability to troubleshoot database issues independently.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure and serverless solutions.
• Expertise in TypeScript or similar programming languages.
• Experience with Python programming is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science preferred.
