Overview

The Communications Specialist is responsible for drafting copy that is disseminated to Access Health CT (AHCT) consumers and stakeholders, ensuring brand consistency and clarity in communication.

In Short

• Drafts and disseminates various communication materials
• Works closely with the Marketing Team
• Oversees production and budget management with vendors
• Responsible for media monitoring and clipping
• Coordinates interviews and develops talking points
• Writes newsletters and memos
• Manages event invitations and signage production
• Reviews and updates website content
• Collaborates with key stakeholders
• Ad hoc communication tasks as required

Requirements

• BA or BS in Communications, Journalism, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications
• Proficient in content creation for diverse audiences
• Experience in print promotional and educational materials
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Creative and critical thinking skills
• Passionate about writing and editing
