Communications Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented communications professional to lead external communications for New Flyer and MCI (public sector). This role supports key initiatives across Sales and Marketing, Infrastructure Solutions, NFI Connect, and the Vehicle Innovation Center.

In Short

• Develop and execute communications plans to deliver impactful content.
• Write press releases, speeches, editorials, fact sheets, and marketing materials.
• Ensure clear, compelling, and error-free content that aligns with the NFI Style Guide.
• Lead the media release process, including drafting press releases and managing approvals.
• Support sales team in developing content for RFPs.
• Create impactful copy for website, video, e-newsletters, and presentations.
• Prepare abstracts and speeches for industry events.
• Craft editorials and articles for industry publications.
• Create persuasive presentations that communicate a compelling story.
• Manage the marketing review process for customer-facing presentations.

Requirements

• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Experience in public relations and crisis communications.
• Ability to develop content for various marketing materials.
• Knowledge of government relations and public affairs.
• Experience in creating presentations and editorials.
