Overview

The Customer Relations Specialist works with the Customer Service team to investigate and resolve issues affecting enrollment of customers in the Access Health CT Exchange system in a hybrid work environment.

  • Utilize knowledge of the Affordable Care Act to resolve issues.
  • Clarify customer complaints and determine solutions.
  • Research and resolve inquiries via various communication channels.
  • Log all customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on customer issue resolution.
  • Support operational readiness through system testing.
  • Educate consumers on healthcare insurance opportunities.
  • Assist during busy enrollment periods as needed.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience in health insurance preferred.
  • Ability to explain complex systems clearly.
  • Thorough understanding of the Affordable Care Act.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem evaluation and resolution abilities.
  • Must pass an online certification exam within 2 weeks of hire.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
