Tax Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate tax filings and contributing to the smooth operation of tax processes across the group at Abcam, a company committed to making a real difference in life sciences.

In Short

• Prepare UK Research & Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC) and Patent Box claims.
• Collaborate with external advisors to prepare UK and international tax returns.
• Calculate or review corporate tax payments and ensure timely settlement.
• Prepare US GAAP tax provisions, including return-to-provision adjustments.
• Prepare PAYE Settlement Agreement, CT61 and VAT return.
• Contribute to ad-hoc tax projects and strategic initiatives.
• Work towards or recently completed a relevant qualification (e.g., ATT, ACA/ACCA/CTA).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a tax focused role.
• Familiarity with tax compliance, reporting, and planning processes.
• Knowledge of GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.

• Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is a plus.
