Study Project Manager I - Remote

Overview

The Study Project Manager I (SPM) connects science and operations to ensure excellence in management and execution of one or more Medical Affairs studies, including but not limited to, single and multi-country observational studies, as well as management and oversight of external research.

In Short

• Responsible for planning, managing, and executing Medical Affairs studies.
• Develop study protocols and associated documents.
• Lead cross-functional study teams and meetings.
• Manage vendor selection and oversight.
• Generate study-related training for team members and vendors.
• Provide regular updates on study status to stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and address study-related issues.
• Manage study budget and spending.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• May supervise AbbVie employees and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent required, degree in scientific field preferred.
• At least 6 years of Pharmaceutical industry-related experience or equivalent.
• Competent in applying standard quality procedures (SOP, ICH/GCP).
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to operate with limited oversight.
• Experience with clinical trial systems preferred.
