Overview

The Director, Clinical Process Compliance is responsible for driving the vision, strategic oversight, and operational delivery of GCP compliance and quality principles in clinical trials, ensuring successful implementation and inspection readiness.

• Lead a high-performing team of GCP Compliance experts.
• Partner with Development Leaders for GCP Compliance strategy.
• Instill a culture of Inspection Readiness.
• Develop strategies for inspection preparation and execution.
• Oversee compliance metrics and escalation of risks.
• Inform Senior Leaders on clinical trial execution health.
• Represent Development in compliance-related committees.
• Manage the Compliance resource model efficiently.
• Directly manage reports and external resources.
• Operate in a hybrid model if within commutable distance to North Chicago.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or clinical research.
• 5+ years in people leadership in dynamic environments.
• Expertise in AbbVie’s Quality Manual and GCP regulations.
• Ability to translate vision into operational strategy.
