Postgresql DBA - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with deep expertise in PostgreSQL and managing cloud-based database systems, particularly in AWS environments. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in database architecture, optimization, and maintenance, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. This role also provides an opportunity to expand into DevOps practices, focusing on automation, infrastructure as code, and database integration within modern CI/CD pipelines.

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance database systems.
• Enhance database performance through indexing, query optimization, and schema design improvements.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for database deployment and management.

• Develop and manage database backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in database administration with expertise in cloud environments like AWS.
• Proven track record managing large-scale, production-grade database systems.
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience with database monitoring, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with AWS database services.
• Expertise in scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration.
• Experience or interest in DevOps tools and practices.
