Overview

The Commercial Legal Counsel at 1Password will provide proactive legal advice on various matters including contracts, marketing, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

In Short

• Provide legal support to sales, product, partnership, marketing, and advertising teams.
• Negotiate commercial transactions and draft agreements.
• Manage workflows of legal documents within the CLM tool.
• Support the Go to Market (GTM) team in achieving objectives.
• Advise on legal issues related to marketing, advertising, and privacy.
• Implement processes to improve legal transaction workflows.
• Handle multiple projects and manage tight deadlines.
• Work collaboratively across teams.
• Possess strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and privacy regulations is a bonus.

Requirements

• A Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree with bar membership.
• 2-4 years of relevant in-house experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience in SaaS industry preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective negotiator with strong drafting skills.
