Commercial Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

The Company seeks a Legal Counsel to join the Minute Media Legal Department reporting to the Senior Vice President, Legal & Business Affairs and working closely with other members of the company’s legal and business teams in the U.S. and abroad on agreement drafting and negotiation, compliance, and other legal transactional matters for Sports Illustrated, The Players’ Tribune and other Minute Media brands.

In Short

• Draft, review and redline various commercial agreements.
• Facilitate legal transaction matters in an in-house legal environment.
• Liaise with various teams on agreements and negotiations.
• Participate in Legal team and cross-departmental meetings.
• Provide counsel and support to company personnel on business matters.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of legal transactional experience.
• Strong contract drafting and review skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptiveness.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of media/content publishing and sponsorships.
• Flexibility to work on various legal matters.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• J.D. with an active license to practice in the U.S.
