Payment Investigation Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Payment Investigation Specialist at Zotec Partners is responsible for investigating missing payments and denials for clients, working to reduce inventory and collaborating with the Payment team.

In Short

• Investigate missing payments and payment denials.
• Monitor Global Payment Investigation.
• Call carriers for missing ERA files or paper EOBs.
• Check ERA setup during research.
• Scan and post missing payments/denials.
• Set up carrier website logins.
• Verify claim status on carrier sites.
• Ensure checks are cashed and request reissue if necessary.
• Handle special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work under deadlines in high volume conditions.
• Multi-tasking and adaptability to change.
• Detail-oriented with independent work capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with carrier websites and ERA files.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Pleasant phone manner for communication.
• Preferred experience in medical billing office.
• Knowledge of payment posting is a plus.
