Staff Accountant III - Remote

Overview

ZipRecruiter is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant III that possesses solid communication, organizational and analytical skills. This position will be an integral part of the general ledger close and will report to the Manager, Accounting.

In Short

• Integral role in general ledger month-end closing process.
• Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end close processes.
• Perform monthly general ledger reconciliation schedules.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
• Manage accounting processes like vendor payments and employee reimbursements.
• Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
• Stay current on changes to U.S. GAAP.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and financial analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and meet deadlines.
