Senior Revenue Accountant - Remote

In Short

• Be able to interpret customer contracts and how they should be implemented in our various systems.
• Assist the Revenue Manager with setting up new customer contracts as Sales Orders and Revenue Arrangements in NetSuite.
• Invoice professional services monthly working with the Revenue Manager and the Director of Services.
• Be able to navigate various 3rd party procurement and AP platforms used by some customers for invoice submissions and payments.
• Interact with a diverse group of customer procurement and AP groups.
• Ensure sales tax is properly assessed on invoices and ensure the Avalara tax system captures that tax.
• Work with the Revenue Manager and Sales Operations to calculate commissions.
• Manage our new 3rd party Sales Commission tracking platform.
• Support audit activities and be the main point of contact for all customer invoicing and sales commissions cycle testing.
• Identify and implement process improvements within current processes and systems.

Requirements

• Up to date knowledge of US GAAP as it relates to revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Strong customer service skills – both externally and internally.
• Experience working for a fast-paced SaaS organization.
• NetSuite experience a strong plus.
• Commission tracking systems a strong plus.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Avalara experience is a plus.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• CPA with audit experience, Big 4/regional experience preferred, but not required.
• 4-6+ years relevant experience.
• BA/BS in Accounting.
