Senior Revenue Accountant - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Revenue Accountant reporting to our Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our revenue-related processes. This includes reviewing, maintaining, and improving the order-to-cash process, managing sales order data imports, and overseeing revenue recognition and reconciliation.

In Short

• Review, maintain, and optimize the order-to-cash process for accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure seamless and accurate import of sales order data from Salesforce to NetSuite.
• Review, maintain, and reconcile ASC 606 revenue and deferred revenue schedules.
• Be a subject matter expert on invoicing within NetSuite.
• Record and review monthly revenue journal entries, and analyze related general ledger accounts.
• Maintain and update revenue forecasts to support business planning.
• Review, maintain, and reconcile accounts receivable aging reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing, invoicing, and adherence to billing schedules.
• Address and resolve client questions and issues related to billing and accounts receivable.
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring all revenue accounts are properly accounted for.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in revenue operations or accounting (ideally in a SaaS environment).
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards and their application.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with NetSuite.
• Experience in recording journal entries and analyzing financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional time management skills.
• Exceptional eye for detail and strive for accuracy.
