Senior Urban Designer - Remote

Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Urban Designer to join our team! In this role, you will work on different types of urban development projects that will change the fabric of our cities.

In Short

• Perform and manage complex urban planning and design tasks.
• Review and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Gather and analyze data on economic, social, and physical factors.
• Develop technical inputs for high-quality plans and presentations.
• Maintain contact with external agencies for project coordination.
• Creative thinking and understanding of best practices in urban design.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Lead capacity on urban planning projects.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in urban planning and design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or related field.

Requirements

• Master's degree in urban planning/design or architecture is desired.
• Professional certifications such as AICP, RTPI are a plus.
• Thorough understanding of local statutes and planning regulations.
• Ability to represent diverse interests in the planning process.
• Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity on projects.
