Roadway / Bridge Inspector - Remote

Overview

In this role, you'll perform field inspections of major Roadway and Bridge projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents and supporting the Senior Project Engineer.

• Perform field inspections of roadway and bridge projects.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Conduct material sampling and testing.
• Prepare daily reports documenting contractor work operations.
• Field measure installed quantities and perform calculations.
• Enter results in web-based databases.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer and Project Administrator.
• Requires a technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of related field experience is required.
• Obtain FDOT CTQP certificates and Traffic Control certification.

Requirements

• 2-year degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of related experience on field projects.
• Ability to obtain required certifications.
• Physical ability to perform inspections in various terrains.
• Prior experience with FDOT projects is preferred.
