The ideal candidate does not have to have an engineering background, but a keen interest in marketing strategies and tactics specific to supporting and helping customers develop comprehensive print and online media programs to grow their business. They should welcome diving into technical topics or learning new industries.

In Short

  • Prospecting, pitching and closing a high volume of new partners, both inbound and outbound
  • Managing the full sales cycle including prospecting, qualifying leads, strategic fact-finding, pitching of all MB products and franchises, and negotiations through deal close.
  • Supporting relationship management, including upselling and renewing business within existing partnerships
  • Performing strategic planning and ownership of your own book of business including account prioritization, organization and forecasting
  • Maintaining accurate and timely customer/prospect, pipeline, and forecast data
  • Working collaboratively with the rest of the team to share learnings, best practices and strategy to achieve team goals
  • Project managing customer print and digital advertising campaigns from material collection through to approvals and final metrics reporting
  • Serving as the first point of contact on the assigned brand(s), answering incoming calls and general email inquiries as necessary
  • Conducting outbound calling and emails into vertical market targets while working with vertical brand leaders and management on cross-vertical proposals and account relationships as required
  • Onboarding clients and tracking deliverables against executed engagement

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a customer facing role and 24-36 months of full cycle sales
  • Experience in media, marketing and/or advertising preferred
  • Strong foundation in client presentations and good understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Experience selling face-to-face at industry events and in client offices
  • Thorough understanding of sales cycle, including researching, prospecting, outreach, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals
  • Ability to forecast, track and report on sales performance and meet quarterly targets
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in marketing from an accredited college or university (preferred)
