Outreach Transition Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Outreach Transition Specialist at Wounded Warrior Project is responsible for building and maintaining connections with service members, veterans, and their families through outreach initiatives and engagement events.

In Short

• Lead outreach initiatives and engagement events for veterans and their families.
• Build relationships with military installations and community partners.
• Plan and execute events with minimal supervision.
• Provide crisis support and resource navigation for participants in need.
• Communicate WWP program benefits to service members.
• Maintain records and manage a budget for program delivery.
• Participate in training and meetings as required.
• Travel within the local area for outreach activities.
• Work in a flexible hybrid schedule.
• Support the long-term well-being of wounded warriors and their families.

Requirements

• Four years of experience working with the military community.
• Experience in program coordination and community outreach.
• Two years of experience in event planning and execution.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel for outreach programs.
• Knowledge of military transition processes.
• Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required.
