Overview

WorldFish seeks to hire a senior expert on scaling of Aquaculture innovations to guide evidence-based scaling plans for the Center for Renewable Energy in Aquaculture (CeREA) project in Egypt, enabling replication, financing, and institutionalization across the aquaculture sector.

In Short

• Assess scalability potential of innovations based on feasibility and market readiness.
• Evaluate scaling readiness and identify key bottlenecks for adoption.
• Define target segments and articulate value propositions for innovations.
• Map enabling policy environments and develop stakeholder engagement plans.
• Facilitate consensus-building around scaling priorities and delivery models.
• Integrate Gender Equality and Social Inclusion into scaling strategies.
• Conduct desk reviews and assessments of project documents.
• Organize consultation sessions with stakeholders to validate priorities.
• Deliver validated scaling roadmaps and synthesis reports.
• Maintain regular communication with the CeREA coordination team.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in relevant fields; PhD is an advantage.
• 10 years’ experience in scaling agricultural or aquaculture innovations.
• Expertise in designing scaling strategies for agriculture or aquaculture.
• Familiarity with blended finance and impact investing.
• Ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder platforms.
• Experience with scaling frameworks like Scaling Readiness.
• Knowledge of Egypt's agricultural and aquaculture contexts.
• Experience in integrating social inclusion in innovations.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing business models.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
