Overview

The Policy Specialist at World Relief will play a critical role in shaping and implementing policies related to international development, humanitarian efforts, and refugee and immigration programs, advocating for vulnerable communities.

In Short

• Serve as a D.C.-based representative on public policy concerns.
• Build relationships with congressional leaders and administration staff.
• Research and analyze policies affecting World Relief's programs.
• Lead on policy issues impacting vulnerable populations internationally.
• Support government relations on refugee resettlement and immigration policy.
• Engage in media and public relations opportunities.
• Write and speak on policy issues for various audiences.
• Assist in developing internal systems for advocacy efficiency.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Mature Christian faith and commitment to World Relief's mission.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields preferred.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about just and compassionate policies.
• Ability to interact with diverse groups, including media and officials.
• Up to 25% domestic/international travel required.
