Credit Policy Specialist - Remote

Overview

As a Credit Policy Specialist, you will support underwriters and the mortgage fulfillment team by providing training, answering questions, and assisting with the mortgage loan origination system.

In Short

• Provide support to underwriters and the mortgage fulfillment team.
• Conduct second-level reviews for jumbo loans over $1 million.
• Create training materials for underwriters.
• Review test cases for underwriters pursuing certifications.
• Update policies and procedures with current guidelines.
• Assist with writing and implementing new programs.
• Help with post-closing and insuring issues.
• Underwrite non-QM delegated loan products.
• Create bulletins and communication for regions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with paperless underwriting is a plus.
• Experience with non-QM loans is required.
• Knowledge of Desktop Underwriter and Loan Product Advisor.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, and USDA guidelines.
• FHA Chums and VA LAPP/SAR experience required.
