Principal Designer - Shared Services - Remote

Overview

You will be responsible for designing a modern, unified design system essential for the Workleap Platform and ShareGate. You will work closely with an engineering team specialized in UI foundations and platform scalability, defining and evolving this system.

In Short

• Define and evolve our shared design system — templates, principles, components, and guidelines across multiple products and brands;
• Design flexible, reusable, and inclusive solutions that adapt to various teams, use cases, and platforms;
• Collaborate closely with developers to implement the system through tools, documentation, themes, and a collaborative approach;
• Support Workleap and ShareGate designers — help them adopt the system, use it effectively, and focus on what matters most;
• Continuously improve our workflows — reduce friction, increase speed, and elevate design quality through better systems and workflows;
• Adopt a forward-looking approach — design templates and frameworks capable of supporting AI-driven features, predictive user interfaces, and new interaction models;
• Contribute daily to improving UX practices through feedback, working sessions, and other team rituals.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in creating and evolving large-scale design systems in multi-product environments;
• Expertise in interaction design, accessibility, and inclusive UI patterns;
• Close collaboration with engineers, focusing on concrete and functional systems;
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, with ease in creating documentation and support tools;
• Passion for supporting others, simplifying complexity, and improving quality at scale;
• Experience in mentoring, with the ability to lead by example and be a strong design partner;
• Curiosity for new UX models, particularly those driven by AI and adaptive experiences;
• Excellent communication skills — you can make ideas, decisions, and systems clear and accessible.
