Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

As a Staff Accountant at Workit Health, you will be an essential member of our finance team, strengthening our financial infrastructure through hands-on, high-quality accounting work. You will play a critical role in supporting core accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of our financial data, and contributing to process improvements. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and highly organized professional with a solid foundational understanding of U.S. GAAP and a proactive desire to learn and grow in a dynamic SaaS environment.

In Short

• Contribute to month-end and year-end close process by preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Assist with revenue recognition process ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and support accounts receivable processes.
• Administer the company's expense reporting system ensuring compliance with policies.
• Support annual financial audits and tax reporting by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve payment inquiries and ensure smooth financial processes.
• Contribute to process documentation and identify opportunities for efficiency and automation.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles.
• High proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience with general ledger functions; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Meticulous attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
