Cloud Database Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Cloud Database Engineer for WorkForce, you will work as part of the Cloud Services team responsible for managing and optimizing mission critical database systems and applications supporting our flagship WorkForce Software management suite of products.

In Short

• Ensure the availability, performance and scalability of the database platforms that support WorkForce products.
• Drive new technology research and adoption.
• Define and operationalize ongoing database management, maintenance tasks, and performance tuning best practices.
• Educate fellow team members on best practices for database deployments in public clouds.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot production application and database issues.
• Create documentation and processes for other team members to follow.
• Mentor and train fellow team members.
• Manage storage and utilization of resources.
• Deliver high-impact, high-value automation.
• Work with other business units to bring visibility into resource consumption and product improvements.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience with Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c.
• 6+ years of Linux system administration.
• Proficient with one or more scripting/programming languages (shell, bash, php, perl, etc.).
• Demonstrate great analytic skills, able to independently troubleshoot application issues.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work with a range of teams and skill sets.
