Patient Transporter - Full-Time Days - Remote

Overview

The Patient Transporter is responsible for transporting patients, specimens, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to hospital protocols.

In Short

• Transport patients and materials throughout the hospital.
• Collect biohazard waste and soiled linen.
• Receive and execute transport assignments from the coordinator.
• Complete assignments promptly and notify dispatch upon completion.
• Attend monthly meetings and complete quarterly equipment cleaning.
• Interact with patients and staff in a courteous manner.
• Must be able to follow verbal and printed instructions.
• Be on feet most of the shift and assist with patient transfers.
• Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
• Rotating holidays required.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Friendly and courteous demeanor with patients and staff.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physical capability to assist in transferring patients.
