Patient and Equipment Transporter - Remote

Overview

The Patient and Equipment Transporter is responsible for transporting patients throughout the hospital, assisting nursing staff with patient transfers, and maintaining cleanliness of transport equipment while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

In Short

• Transport patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.
• Assist nursing staff in moving and positioning patients.
• Deliver stretchers, beds, cribs, and wheelchairs as necessary.
• Sanitize and maintain transport vehicles and equipment.
• Transport patient specimens and medical records as required.
• Complete activity logs and ensure compliance with infection control guidelines.
• Provide handoff communication to receiving units.
• Work collaboratively with hospital departments to ensure patient-focused care.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Good interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Preferred: Six months’ experience in a hospital environment.
