Patient Transporter - Remote

Overview

The Patient Transporter is responsible for transporting patients, specimens, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital while ensuring safety and effective communication.

In Short

• Transport patients and materials across the hospital.
• Collect biohazard waste and soiled linen.
• Receive and follow transport instructions from dispatch.
• Complete assignments promptly and notify dispatch of completion.
• Attend monthly meetings and complete quarterly equipment cleaning.
• Work a full-time schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor.
• Assist in transferring patients between beds and stretchers.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Must be able to follow verbal and printed instructions.
• Physical ability to be on feet for most of the shift.
• Ability to assist in patient transfers.
• Team-oriented and able to collaborate effectively.
• Willingness to work rotating holidays.
• Must complete training and orientation as required.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
