Patient Care Associate, Per Diem, All Shifts - Remote

Overview

The Patient Care Associate will assist patients with daily living activities under the direction of licensed personnel, ensuring quality care and support for patients at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands.

In Short

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Perform vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs accurately.
• Complete all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interact effectively with patients and their families.
• Help patients with basic hygiene tasks and mobility.
• Listen to and report health concerns to nursing staff.
• Maintain a diverse and inclusive environment in patient care.
• Follow written and oral instructions accurately.
• Utilize proficient computer skills for electronic medical records.
• Adhere to physical requirements related to patient care tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred.
• Experience in patient care or elder care (1-2 years preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks efficiently.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records.
